The sea floor is indeed the “top” of the Earth, but it is at such a low elevation relative to the rest of the Earth’s “top” (i.e., its surface) that it is covered in all of the loose surface water that tends to pool at the lowest places due to gravity and it’s readily flowable state at prevailing temperatures.
Before Seth Meyers got the NBC Late Night show it was hosted by Conan O’Brien for many years. That makes me wonder is they were both made in the same studio. Because 25 years ago a young Amy Poehler would be a repeat hilarious guest. The skit was she would be in the audience and they would say Andy’s sister is here tonight and pan to her wearing a dental retainer. Andy would mention Amy has a crush on Conan and it would go downhill from there. Now Amy is an old lady sitting next to the President in possibly the same studio.
