I dunno if Nolan Bushnell was a weirdo. It’s hard to think where we’d be in history without him. He made Atari, which started the home console boom, that changed computing, hired two plucky teens named Steve, who would learn so much from him. That would go on to start one of the most important companies in history.

Growing up in the era, and having gone to both places countless times for birthday parties, Showbiz was so much better! The pizza was better, the show was better, the video games were better, and a lot of times they had multiples of the newer released video games, plus you got more video game coins and the prizes for the for the tickets were better. For many of my friends and I, getting invited to a Showbiz Party was fantastic, Chuck E . Cheese on the other hand you went, but not as exciting! 😂

When I was 16 I got my first job at Chuck E. Cheese. I had to dance at my interview and I crushed it. I was hired to play the role of Charles entertainment cheese himself. I’ve witnessed some of the craziest shit I’ve ever seen. So many moms hit on me while I was in the suit you wouldn’t believe it. I wasn’t the only one that wore the suit, but most of the time the one wearing the suit was drunk or on drugs of some kind. I’ve seen so many fights at Chuck E. Cheese I don’t even remember them all.some things are just in our code I guess

I love John Oliver, but I’m disappointed in this piece. He forgot to mention that horrible event that happened in the late 80’s! I believe ‘87, but i can’t be sure. I’m just disappointed they forgot to mention it

Last time I went to one of these, the animatronics all went haywire and an old guy got beaten up by one in the parking lot. Oregon’s a weird place.
