Hes like a wine! Or may be better as he just doesn’t age at all! Matt Le Blanc and Pierce Brosnan show us how to wear grey/white hair gracefully!

Back in the 80’s I worked as a union extra on Remington Steel and myself and 3 other extras were sitting on the grass in a park in between setups and Pierce walked over with a director’s chair and sat with us! He was absolutely delightful and we were in awe of him. Gina Davis was the guest star but I didn’t meet her. Imagine Pierce sitting with us extras! I will never forget it!

For youngsters out there who don’t know yet, this man’s loyalty to his wife is legendary. He was and still is a very handsome man. He had been a successful TV actor back then (the male lead on the Remington Steel series) when he was first offered to play James Bond. He refused the offer to accompany his wife (Cassandra Harris, a former Bond girl) who had to do chemotherapy. The nurses said that Pierce never left his wife’s room unless to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, Cassandra lost the battle with cancer. Pierce mourned his deceased wife for so long, until his stepchildren urged him to date again. They even set several blind dates for him. When he finally married again, everybody was happy. His second wife, Keely Shaye Smith, was a journalist and an activist. There was a period when Keely was overweight and people were bashing her, saying that she was not worthy of him, or that he was stupid for not looking for a prettier/thinner woman. Pierce defended his wife fiercely, and stayed loyal throughout the ordeal. I couldn’t imagine any other actors who would do the same if they were put in the same situation.

I never missed an episode of Remington Steele. Back then I felt that he would be a great Bond.
