surprised one of his favorite musicals isnt Brigadoon! That’s what it seems Schmigadoon is based off of, lol!

“Hundreds and hundreds of years ago” is a BIT of an exaggeration in this context… but the point is good. Very interesting to listen to a discussion about the history of this kind of entertainment. 🙂

In the technically-possible scenario that Keegan-Micheal Key wanders in to the dark recesses of the youtube comments section, I would like to point him at the cartoon Hellluva Boss, which has some sweet musical numbers he might enjoy.

Also the rest of you might be interested. It’s on the youtubes and they release an individually handcrafted, free-range and possibly organic episode every month or two.

Keegan-Michael Key playing a character who hates musicals is a lot like Andy Weir writing a character who hates being stuck on Mars with only disco music to listen to.

Sure, yup, there IS a long standing tradition of variety shows that lead up to The Late Show, however we’ve been ABUSED by ”fat ass celebrities” such as the Kardashians who are famous for NOTHING but having big ASSES, and BEING ”big assho**s.”
We’re subjected to talentless idiots like ‘snookie’ who has nothing to offer and has done nothing but grow her ass.(Norm Macdonald and Adam Carolla dissect this perfectly.)
At LEAST the goddamn Gong Show made people DO SOMETHING to be on TV.
