Replyalso – the scent of hot garbage always makes me nostalgic for nyc summertimes in the 90s, but summer sun urine smells like any old frat party at sunrise
ReplyBig walking stick?, It’s a yomping stick.
ReplyI think you might be smelling the wild fires.
Replythe “sandwich artist” thing started with Thundercloud Subs in Austin as they employ a lot of musicians hoping for their big break. not sure how many chains have adopted this, but at least T-Cloud’s bread isn’t soggy like Subway’s or need a chainsaw to get through like Jimmy John’s. Jimmy John’s: the sandwich company that admits they and their employees are better at literally anything other than making aub sandwiches.
ReplyI woke up with a sense of disaster this morning . . .
ReplyI love Seth and Stephen Colbert equally. This last year or so has been fantastic without any audience other than the “team”. Maybe Colbert had the edge on returning to the studio because of Evie? (She is a wonderful foil for him!) But I look forward to both shows equally.
I really get why a comedian wants, even needs feedback from an audience, but already the unnecessary screaming, whistling and whooping (along with other, indefinable sounds) has marred the Colbert show. _He_ is just as funny, and his team is still sharp, but the audience is waaaay over the top! I hope that when Seth’s team/channel and he himself are ready for a return of the audience, the floor manager (or whatever the job is) who tells the audience when to clap etc doesn’t go over the top.
In the meantime, I’m still loving the peace and quiet allowing me to hear everything that’s said, along with the giggles of the crew and I’m thoroughly enjoying what’s obviously a load of in jokes. Makes me feel more a part of the audience this way, for some reason.
ReplyOne day there’s gonna be a fire in Seth’s studio and everyone is going to die.
