ReplyI’ve done some research and found that the best case scenario for a migrant or refugee to legally earn U.S. citizenship takes at the minimum 6 years and thousands of dollars, which is insane to me. Seriously, try planning a family vacation 6 years in advance and hope that no one dies/is born or something happens to the destination that affects your plans. Furthermore, everyone who lives in this country pays into Social Security and other welfare programs through sales and property taxes, but only U.S. citizens are eligible to receive them. So, contrary to what many Conservative politicians and media hosts claim, no one from another country can just get on a plane and become a U.S. citizen that gets welfare overnight! That said, if we made it easier and faster for people to come to the U.S. legally and become citizens, we would have far fewer people waiting to come to the country, far fewer migrants living here legally or illegally, and more people can achieve the American Dream.

ReplyRight now, the UK Gov is begging immigrant truck drivers to come back to work because a shortage of supplies is threatening the Holidays. Once everything gets back to normal, the anti-immigrant rhetoric resumes. Brexit is probably the dumbest Gov policy of the century and I’m glad they are paying for it.
