Why can’t we stick to standard time in Md? I’m so mad at the golf and candy lobbyists.

my country opted out of dst and it’s seriously no big deal everyone should do it and getting home from work while there is still a tiny bit of sunlight is much better than returning in the dark trust me

DST was slightly bothering in the begining because I had to change my clocks manually, but now days almost all of my clocks change by themselves. And the change in time never bothered me, or my sleep in any way. So, you guys can make the choice, I’ll be fine either way.

If we set the clock back one hour, every day, we would get one extra hour of sleep everyday. Starting tomorrow, I’m doing it. Got me my own private Time Zone.

I wish Michigan would opt out of daylight wasting time just have all schools in the country start @ 9am out by 3pm that way kids not leaving home when it’s dark or coming home when it’s dark.

It’s absurd that states can opt out of DST, but not not opt for permanent DST. I may run for governor of Texas, with my only campaign platform to be to take Texas off DST, and permanently change all state schedules (including schools) forward 1 hour. This would have the same effect as permanent DST, as all other businesses would adapt to the changed school schedules.

DST should be the time all year around. Few people actually live and work on farms today and the switching time was supposed appease the farmers for Winter periods.

Why is congress proposing to lock in *Daylight Savings Time* instead of Standard Time/God’s Time/the time that the rest of the world agrees on?

I don’t understand why we still bother with DST. And the farmer argument doesn’t hold water. I’ve spoken with many people who farm and they’ve all said that DST doesn’t really matter for them anymore, and hasn’t for the last 2 decades at least. There’s little to be gained from it at this point, other than a little extra sleep deprivation and a lot of extra frustration for everyone.

Not all of Arizona ‘opts out’ of DST.
The official time on the Navajo Nation is the same as New Mexico’s as the Tribal Seat is in Window Rock which is closer to Gallup than to any AZ city.
