Bad research, I can transfer a nft to my personal wallet. If the servers go down no problem because I control the private key. The most secure networks on the planet will validate my claim to that nft. Yes personal responsibility comes into play. Just like if you shove all your us dollars in your mattress and your house burns down.

    Sort of…
Not necessarily the internet or energy
But In terms of art and streaming

    You say art
But it could be design or whatever
    Not just art
Block chain is not limited to just money or whatever
    Its a tool
    At the least
It will be used for coin
But its not necessarily just limited to that
    Hypothetically

I don’t understand how anyone could fall for the NFT thing. I get collecting tangible original items, as a reproduction will usually never accurately reproduce the quality or experience of the original, plus you own it. A digital copy of a file is an exact copy of the original, with no differences, and a link to an image or video isn’t ownership of the original work. How do you convince someone to pay you for literally nothing? Props to that genius.

I won’t buy NFT as it is now, I think there are few problems with it and I think it is just another way for rich people to do money laundry.
But i do think the tech behind NFT have uses as an digital authenticator for online collectable goods like from loot boxes and online trading card games. I will make it easier for players to sell and buy rare loots and cards they get from loot boxes and booster packs. Game companies can introduce limited quantity of digital cards and loots.

First of all, NFTs are not going to be lost because of power surges. Watching this episode annoyed me. Noah should know more about blockchain technology. . .

The NFTs are not only in the possession of the purchaser, but they are also stored on blockchain cloud file storage. The maker of the NFT also still owns rights. So if it is sold off in the future, the maker of the NFT also earns a percentage of those proceeds.

For example, if an NFT was stored on Storj labs, it would be broken up across 90 node operators making the file nearly impossible to steal or hack. It is also worth noting blockchain cloud storage is a fraction of the price of regulat cloud storage, like Google or Amazon. Also way more secure.

Artists that currently couldn’t make a living before are now able to earn income to support themselves. Like through the art shows on Decentraland. And, most artists aren’t bringing down millions of dollars.

I didn’t think this episode was funny at all. . .anyone with a modicum of blockchain knowledge would likely feel the same way.
