dry socket is when the hole your tooth came out of literally goes dry. the gums dont cover the hole like they should exposing raw jaw bone and it hurts like hell when it hits air or gets food stuck in it. i think it could get infected if crud gets in it and you dont rinse it out but when i had it it did’nt happen and im imune compomised so mostly everything i get gets infected

Too bad you couldn’t book Daniel Craig two weeks ago. Sandworms and fat bad guys who don’t like body hair, meh.

I’m sure Jason momoa was great at plying Jason momoa. Because that’s all he plays in all his movies.

just finished part one and it’s pretty dang good. I first read the book when I was a teenager and I hit up the audiobook like a decade ago, so from what my cannabis-adled brain remembers, this is the closest adaptation I could have ever really hoped for.

She does so much promotion for this movie for barely being in it.

But,… this is simply not a good movie.
Actors are OK, i guess, but it feels like that cheap sci fi TV series from a few decades ago, only more luxurious and woke. Can’t compare with Lynch’s version, it follows the books better, since they obviously planed sequels, but the directing is actually awful considering this is supposed to be a hi end production.

Not very good water discipline there, where are their stillsuits? And the way Stephen was walking on the sand is sure to call a worm.

I watched this movie already in theater since it opened already in Europe about one month ago. The movie is really great but please keep in mind that this is no star wars or something similar. It is more a political movie about betrayal and intrigue and is easier to compare to GoT for instance. Still, a must watch in the theater! Fun fact: the componist Hans Zimmer canceled Christopher Nolan on Tenet in order to make the music for Dune. You really have the impression to watch something big like the next LotR and do yourself a favor and watch it in the biggest theater possible in dolby atmos.

I also believe that Denis Villeneuve should sit there next to Timothee. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Zendaya and the way she plays like in Malcolm & Marie for example but this movie, is not her movie. People who watched it already know what I mean. This movie was made by Denis (which was very difficult if you know the books) and played/guided by Timothee (and he did it so damn good). Maybe it was Denis’ choice to not be there or maybe Zendaya was chosen, since the audience can identify more with here than with Denis. Anyway, great cast, great sound and epic movie! Have fun.

Watch it! It’s a slow burn, but such a beautiful move and a worthy first chapter of the story.
Watch it on a BIG screen!
