Wendi talks about meeting Carol Burnett, meeting her comedy heroes, the many 80s guest stars on “The Goldbergs,” shooting the final episode of the show, getting emotional about the end, and collecting horrible art to hang in her home bathroom.

ReplyGold -retrieve- I mean golden retriever- u r really good in this words game
ReplyNot a fan of “The Goldbergs,” it was a reductionist view of the 80s. Also, she and Jimmy and I are the same age, and my comedy heroes were Buster Keaton, the Marx Brothers, Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks, et cetera.
Reply6:20 I would swear that’s a portrait of Trudy Weigel
ReplyLove her and the show
ReplyThe Goldbergs is a lovely show. I’m going to miss it. It’s silly and fun and full of heart and there’s just enough of 80s trivia without being too overbearing. Of course the characters are larger than life especially hers. That’s what made it so funny. She played the very best s’mother ever.
ReplyI grew up with Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Mary Tylor Moore, and more great people.
ReplyJimmy laughing at her crying about George Segal is incredibly insensitive.
ReplyWhen Kimmel actually get along with a guest but knows it isn’t good TV. Wendi and James here get real.
ReplySeeing that people I look up to also feel such a deep reverence for the Greats does make me feel more normal lol
Replywendy is great in everything. fell in love with her watching reno 911 and have been a big fan ever since
