ReplyThe elephant in the room is that they didn’t mention Dopamine or Norepinephrine. When I was in school it was the reigning theory that those two chemicals may be more important in explaining the chemical imbalance in depression. Those, along with Serotonin are what are released with physical activity, which is why vigorous exercise helps people with depression.

I’ve witnessed people reap benefit from medication. Depends on severity of suffering and their living situation. Situational depression is huge. Some people have chemical imbalances, mis-wired brains etc. The problem is rebound. Any drug utilized should be temporary always. Then remove. Most drugs over time require more or if you stop have an exacerbating rebound effect. Making worse, the reason you got them.
Replythat is a real issue tho, you can be enjoyng anytype of ‘vice’ without impeding upon anybody, but there aare ppl that will confront you nonstop because you havent conformed to the norm of what is ‘right’… and those ppl right there are what cause major depression. not the vice, but the conformists
ReplyHes right… I was abused as a child by mental health system… From 6yrs old till 18yrs old i was forced to take 30 pills a day and threatend by them if i refused….Did i get anything from being abused no .. Did they get punished in anyway shape or form? No…… Highest legal dose of lithium a dr is allowed to give a an adult even as a child…..
