    I saw her show once.
She curses a lot in her show, unlike my ex-roommate that was doing the same show.

Well, what is Wanda’s favorite dinosaur? I admire the kids most of all. Wanda’s son hit it right on the head. When wrong is wrong acknowledge it,, there is no other rational. What is different this time is that we have the kids in the forefront, their parents with them and grandparents too. This time seeing the crowds, not just here but around the world makes me well up in tears. Finally and in my lifetime. Love to all.

Wanda Sykes is absolutely right about the statues. The tampering of history is part of why this has gone on for so long. We can’t erase history if we ever hope to see future generations be warned to never fall into this form of ignorance again.

They should collect all the Confederate statues and put them in jail cells where they belonged.

I knew Trump’s Presidency was going to be an unmitigated disaster from start to finish. I just thought the finish would be a couple of months into it.

What about burning down the local bookstore that was created by Vets after Vietnam?
Well, at least they stopped before setting a major hospital alight in the next block.

If someone had told me what would have happened throughout 2020 , I would have not believed it. I will take. Biden any day of the week, at this point -I don’t love em , but I don’t think as a country, we can have four more years of Trump and the old guard Republicans who support his actions.

As a Black man, let me point out that the image of LGBT in the media is ALWAYS someone who is White, a group with someone White in it, or a relationship with someone White. Minorities don’t need White presence to feel prideful, loved, or to have fun all the time, like everyone, they are part of our existence, not the pinnacle of it.

Also, a stereotypical image the entertainment industry LOVES to depict all gay me as are hyper effeminate men who dress in drag, and are a women’s must have accessory. We are all not like that, most of us in the world aren’t in fact.

In regards to the statues, so agree, remove them from the public but store them in museums for education purposes about racism, slavery, etc.

I loved Wanda in Over the Hedge, my fav. You know what I miss… Different World. A show about college life, sorta. I grew up watching that. Made me want to go to college. Later I find that I couldn’t afford it any way. Cartel U was easier to get into 😛

Don’t the people in the South that admire confederate “heroes” realize that they were defeated traitors fighting against the Republic that they are so patriotic about? If you wish that the confederates had been victorious, you’re not a real American.

They definitely should save them, the confederacy memorabilia, like in Germany they have plaques reminding people where Jewish people lived and were taken away from to the camps, to remind people that Yes, THAT happened.

    Reply
  • Boots S 4 months ago

I agree with Wanda saying we need to save the statues of Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and others should be put in museums. People need to see them… kids need to learn about how they were once praised for being great men when in reality, they weren’t. History books have lied to us for decades and it is time to face up to the truth and move towards being better people.
