Honesty this far right craziness is absolutely not the majority of American voters. Also, public support has zero bearing on whether a bill gets passed. The US is very broken.
When you live in Europe, or rather a specific country in Europe, because it isn’t one big country, or how Americans seem to view it as ‘not America’, being able to buy guns at all, or at a supermarket is patently absurd. It isn’t normal. You might believe it is normal, but it is absolutely crazy.
And worst off all, you are not responsible enough to own guns. The amount of ‘shooting incidents’ show that. Kids die daily in America ‘by accident’ because daddy left his magnum .44 hollowpoint under his pillow…….
I can only conclude that Americans love their guns more then their children. Which is really really sad.
Conflating “supermarket” with grocery store. Yes, Walmart, etc. sell guns, but with all
the same paperwork and legal protocols as sporting goods stores or guns-only shops.
This is what we get when rights are taken a little too seriously to the point where other countries are laughing and questioning How the US works with their gun laws. We here in Jamaica have the same sentiments as Switzerland. It’s just crazy that they even allowed to do that without background checks
I understand that Walmart may be considered a grocery store however the average super Walmart which is the one that carries groceries and guns is typically about 180,000 sq ft or about 16,700 sq m….or a little over 4 acres. Typically supermarkets and grocery stores are about 40,000 sq ft or about 3700 sq m. So it’s not really a fair comparison to call it a supermarket.
