Trump is in “great shape”? Funny. When it comes to serving his country, this guy with “great genes” has bone spurs – what coincidence!

I did not feel that joke was racist. Quite the contrary, it was built on Trump’s racism, the way in which he and his father famously got in trouble for denying African-Americans the right to rent their properties (and then Roy Cohn would save Trump from the legal problems that surfaced as a result, marking the beginning of their beautiful relationship). The punchline was actually quite excellent; from my perspective, it shed even greater light on Trump’s racism, for “figuratively” kicking out a president who was infinitely more qualified to serve as president, yet another sign of injustice against blacks, conveyed in a humorous way.

I fear some in society hear the word “black” and automatically conclude “racism,” without caring to look at context, a knee-jerk reaction which in itself can be construed as racist (because at that point, black people are looked upon not as human beings, but as objects, skin color serving as their only definition). When the righteous mindlessly make such charges, it’s possible their motivation may not be so much outrage against injustice, but an interest in projecting what they feel is their moral superiority.

It’s not that I like this guy, and apart from obviously being a misogynist I’m sure he’s a racist, but the joke about The White House being “public housing” is making fun of the divide between what public housing is normally meant to signify, and then this grand luxurious house, which it is (or should be) an honour to have ever lived in. It funny cuz it’s not really true.
It’s a silly joke, but I don’t think it amounts to say, dissing the Obamas.
If it was a cartoon in the N.Y. Times, why are nobody angry about that cartoon?
