ReplyWhy do we never see the studio audience, and why does it sound so fake? I watched Colbert right after this and it’s worlds apart, real interaction, real sounds. Myers show is either so heavily edited, or the audience is an illusion. I could read a poem in front of two people and class it as an audience. Surely the crew acts as an audience from a legal perspective as what counts as a live audience. The laughter always starts and ends extremely abruptly and often just doesn’t fit . It’s like watching King of Queens, but actually the King here was much better without a laughter track during the lockdown period. It seemed more real. Colbert is old school and needs a real audience. But Seth? Nah. He doesn’t suit this fake bollocks, real audience or not.
