Watched it with my husband on valentines day. I get what you mean about the Xhosa subtitles. Loved that I was the only person in the cinema in Malaysia that didn’t need the subtitles. I’m not even Xhosa. I’m from Botswana with a family that originated from the batswana and batlokwa of south Africa’s north western province and some Xhosa and Zulu friends.

“Imagine if white people made their own movie?”
    Lumier brothers: Bitch, what?
    Pre-Code directors: Bitch what?
    Golden Era Hollywood: Bitch what?
Blaxploitation directors: Yeah, we’ve got some token characters, but, once again, bitch what?

I loved this movie, it is a movie that finally represents Africa as a beautiful country, I just didnt like the storyline. I think T’challa should have shared this amazing tech with other country. It could have saved lives

I had zero problems with this movie, it was a bang average marvel movie, not great, not bad. What I thought was stupid, was that black people predisponed themselves to love this movie simply because it was a “black movie.”

Trevor Noah isn’t a black American. Black Americans aren’t African. Careful don’t touch me, I’m on fire!
