Travis Kalanick seems like a creep (and borderline criminal) in this video:
especially his explanation of variable pricing (surge pricing ),
essentially skimming people for the most they will pay under duress. And he
is additionally creepy and evasive in his explanation of food delivery.

Its easy to have a 5.0 rating if you lie about driving people at all, or if
you do drive then you also have the clout to to change your rating back to
5.0 at will. Any driver with a perfect rating is suspect and most likely
    brand new/ never driven before.

middle class. Now anyone who has a car can have a source of income.

If only Uber did background checks on their drivers and didn’t have such
bullshit pricing protocols, I might actually be interested in what else
    they have going on.

FOR IT – I WONDER HOW THEY WOULD FEEL ABOUT THAT!!! Never had a problem

I just love the fact the colbert is back. Again he goes for the hard
questions. Both kimmys would have sucked up to this guy and chuck todd
can’t get these people cause he sucks. Colbert had a phenomenal interview
with Biden and this uber clown. STEPHEN!!!!

Interviews like this are very Colbert Report-esque. It’s too bad CBS is
making him throw all these other “commercialized” bits in there, like the
NFL players or the Sabra bit from Night 1. If it continues like this, I’m
just going to want the old Colbert Report back.

Math tiiiiiiime! $40000 to lease a taxi in NYC? lets assume I buy a car for
the same price. Finance fees, full coverage insurance, car maintenance and
30% Uber commission fee leaves me with chump change at the end of the day.
Another factor to consider of the CONSTANT risk of getting into an accident
while driving in NYC. This results to higher premiums and loss of wages vs
a yellow taxi who gets his car replaced the next day and his lease fee
    stays the same.

Uber is all crap. I have a year experience as a driver and you make like
$10/hour. People leave trash behind in you car and you have to take all
their shit. They make you wait, make several stops sometimes. You pay for
gas, mileage, taxes, Uber’s fees and a safe ride fee. At the end of the day
    you just take pennies home.

hours, no boss blah blah. No straight answer when asked that he is ruining
the taxi cab drivers job and facing lawsuits in almost every country.

This guy never mentioned that uber takes 50% and uses driver’s car which
depreciates and that’s almost cost the same as $40 a year, when you do the
math, drivers are making minimum wage and riders get into unsafe cars with
    recalls.

I don’t think Kalanick is on the same plan of existence as Stephen.
Watching him trying to excuse the Australian uber scandal was humorous. He
didn’t lie, but his justification was uber weak. It was like if a deadly
virus broke out in a town and he charged them 10 times as more for the
vaccine with the justification that there were more people at the mall
where it was being administered. Then taking it all away because people
rushed to get it. Also, him trying to explain his food delivery idea was
    hilarious.

I watched a Cracked Explains on Uber the other day. Their screening process
is incredibly half-assed (with only a car, licence, and a 13 minute video
to qualify), allowing people with criminal backgrounds in manslaughter,
D.U.I, identity theft, and child exploitation to pick you up (yes, this
really happened). Also the company is run by poorly written cartoonish
    super villains.

That’s only half of it. Check it out for yourself.
