In the third part of his interview with Stephen Colbert, CBS News medical contributor Dr. David Agus gives us reasons to be hopeful about where the pandemic is headed and offers tips on how to travel safely this holiday season. #Colbert #DavidAgus #DrAgus
science rocks !!!
ReplyI’m one of those immune compromised people he is talking about (autoimmune disease) who has had to avoid so much. I didn’t know about the monoclonal antibody shot that lasts for 12 months. Makes me feel hope. 💜
Reply… this really is great news. I’m glad to hear it.
ReplyCurse this omicron variant
ReplyWhat a ridiculous and irresponsible thing for this doctor to be saying. If people put a damn halt on traveling and socializing for a bit we could maybe actually get control of this virus rather than it continually mutating at every turn.
ReplyAs far as I know, antibodies are very specific to target a certain danger like a certain virus. Will these antibodies work against all variations of corona viruses or will they not recognize Omicron since it has changed too much?
ReplyFor a second I thought he was gonna say losing your sense of time was a new symptom. I was like “Loss of a sense of smell, taste, and time? I might as well eat at Olive Garden at this rate!”
Replyyeah but what about the passengers who take off their masks once the eating and chatting and DRINKING starts??
ReplyExcellent.
ReplyWait if there is something that’s effective for 12 months and you don’t need to have a ‘piece of the virus’ injected in you (lazy way to explain vaccines) then why the F don’t we have this available for everybody rather than a vaccine that requires a booster every other month?!?
Oh and by the way: no vaccine will ever get rid of the virus COVID same way no vaccine ever got rid of the flu! Like the flu COVID will always have different variants and yes it might get as inoffensive as the flu in a few years but meanwhile I rather not take a shot regularly.
So yeah give me the antibodies shot instead and F the vaccines 🙄
ReplyNew Dutch research has shown that antigen self testing is only accurate in detecting covid when you (already) HAVE symptoms. So self testing the whole family (WITHOUT symptoms) before Christmas dinner will not tell you anything.
ReplyNo thank you can take a pill.. and I’ll keep praying since object poverty
ReplyHello hello hello them antibodies thank you for telling me about it I’m hyped the fuck up!!
ReplyHype that fear hype that fear
ReplyHe has obviously never been to a Covid vaccination clinic.
Replyfriend! Hello!awesome se eya!~👏
ReplyThey’ve been hyping the fear of the virus since day fucking 1 😂 look at the news headlines on every news station they act like Covid has a machine gun and is dropping people by the seconds
ReplyNothing but lies. Throw these people in jail. The Pfizer pill is 30% and is extremely dangerous. What a crock.
ReplyWe get those rapid lateral flow tests (home swab test) for free in UK. You guys really need to find a way to get an NHS.
Reply1:53 i get that he’s trained to come off as approachable when he’s explaining this stuff, but it’s kind of unseemly when he’s smiling so much while talking about 20% survival rates on ventilators at the start of the pandemic. how about you just try to come across as a HUMAN geez
