Maybe Jimmy Fallon stepping away from entertainment after profiting from blackface would be another step rathet than a cheap apology? What say you Jimbo? 🤷🏿‍♂️

When will the National Association for the Advancement of “Colored” People or the United “Negro” College Fund change their derogatory names?

I wonder if when she was originally put on that bottle of syrup if it was a progressive thing at the time and considered a step in the right direction? I wasn’t there so I don’t know. My fear is by removing her now and Uncle Ben we are starting to remove things that were originally a progressive change and a step in the right direction. Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben look look like sweet grandparents & don’t have exaggerated features. I think it’s more racist to remove them at this point and I could be mistaken but the original Aunt Jemima was wealthy. I don’t feel removing a few household figures from the packaging that children of all races see starting from a young age is a good thing. I’m sure the child putting pancake syrup on their pancakes has no clue if there was a possible hidden meaning and it isn’t causing them to grow up and be racist. If anything it is helping in that case with positive reinforcement.

Unfortunately, I watched this when it aired. I found this to show my friends how comedy is dead and propaganda is king. This was so poorly acted and the script read like something a middle schooler in the USSR might have dreamt up.
Cringy, hard to watch, wasted somewhat valid points on poor execution and the need to cram an idea/agenda down. Comedy and lifetime movies don’t mix.. unless their being mocked which seems like what you did. Sad 🙁

Aunt Jemima was based on a caricature that a real Black woman, Nancy Green, was hired to portray.

Nancy Green (November 17, 1834 – August 30, 1923[1][2]) was a storyteller, cook, activist, and the first of many African-American models hired to promote a corporate trademark as “Aunt Jemima”. The famous Aunt Jemima recipe was not her recipe, but she became the advertising world’s first living trademark.[3]

… jimmy I need to say something… your head is in the right place, but if you care your next episode will be about Elijah McClain… a special need black man who was just murdered by police in broad daylight… the video is getting taken down… the only reason George Floyd has such an impact on the world was because the video is still out there… but this poor boy was complimenting the police as he was vomiting and dying in there choke hold… a completely innocent heart… of you were bothered by George Floyd… this should devastate you

I just don’t think I want to eat pancakes any more! Aunt Jemima was a beautiful intelligent modern successful black woman and everyone’s favorite aunt — the left doesn’t want that much black goodwill spread in the society, so the Aunt Jemima name and image had to go. Aunt Jemima brought us all together — the globalist trillionaires fundings the domestic terrorists and their NGOs, and the Democrats and RINO Republicans, they want our country, and they have hired degenerate mercenaries to do battle with hardworking Americans — since they (degenerate rioters) cannot (yet) get away with shooting bullets at hardworking Americans, they limit their subversive activities to rioting, looting, destroying monuments, and spreading propaganda for the left — I include fake news actors as being among the rioters, looters, and vandals…. as well as left leaning politicians, all these being hired mercenaries for the globalist trillionaires. Indeed, the globalist trillionaires are waging a war with America and Americans on all fronts to take our country away from us. They are just getting started too. They are defacing monuments (things that symbolize our love for our nation and respect for our nation and each other), and getting rid of the beautiful warm Aunt Jemima iconic label was part of that push. But the company that owns the Aunt Jemima brand, that is owned by the globalist trillionaires. That is why they are just all to willing to capitulate to the rioters to kill the Aunt Jemima brand label. They want to sew discontent in the society. Aunt Jemima was a force for good, to bring people together, and so she had to go — didn’t fit the narrative.

Wow, an unexpected zoom call. I’m just a regular dumbass in the public and I’m expected to believe this is “real” So stupid to change the name of AJ, UB,. Is Mrs. Butterworth’s next? They’re changing this stuff because they feel the “pressure” that YOU want them to feel and they’re got to jump on the bandwagon. You asked for it! You got it! There’s another black woman who said Aunt Jemima was a positive role model for black women, she was a good person, and so was Uncle Ben, these products were named in their honor and recognize the. Here’s her (the black woman) saying that it’s kinda stupid to get rid of this product that we all grew up with and “LOVE”. Let’s allow the evil at BLM and the evil in the communist party to destroy all the good things, all the cultural things, all the things that make America today…..America. You leftists will fall, all this fake race bullshit is going to end. It’s all designed to widen the divide and destroy our country. We all know it. You can have all the dumbfucks on the left. What utter stupidity. All the late night comics are fucking news anchors and the news anchors are a joke. You did this.
