Tom talks about working on two new Mission Impossible movies, attending the Oscar nominees’ luncheon and everyone being very excited to see him, holding Top Gun: Maverick for two years during the pandemic, going to see the movie with a real paying audience, taking pictures and signing autographs, taking the Tube in London, releasing behind-the-scenes footage from Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, his insane motorcycle stunt, working with Val Kilmer, how long he plans to do crazy stunts for, his mom’s reaction when he does something dangerous, and he answers a bunch of “would you” questions.

How refreshing it is for an actor who clearly makes his movies for the audience and not the critics.
ReplyTom looks great!
ReplyI could Listen to him talk for hours. He is SO charismatic and a living legend. love you Tom!!
ReplySix Oscar nominations for Top Gun? Seriously? I enjoyed the movie but never for a second thought it was Oscar worthy beyond some fringe technical thing (e.g. Best Scene Filmed in a Fighter Jet Award).
ReplyI thought Ben Stiller was his stunt double.
ReplyTom shouting out Val Kilmer is amazing. It was understood when they did the first top gun that Val was an incredibly talented Juliard trained actor. Tom had not quite established himself yet as more than a pretty face. The fact that Tom would not do this movie without a cameo from Val despite his battle with throat cancer just shows the immense respect between the men
Replywhen i saw that scene with val…all i could of is how black tom’s hair is compared to val’s grey. he cant even make the character look the age.
ReplyCool.
ReplySure nobody would notice him if he went to theatre as Les Grossman.
ReplyI can’t think of a better person to interview Tom Cruise than Jimmy. This stuff is pure gold
