Peaceful protest isn’t a crime! But if you’re protesting inhumane policies or the gutting of Medicaid at the Capitol, prepare to be treated like a criminal. Sam sat down with activists who’ve been arrested at the Capitol and plot twist: none of them are insurrectionists.

This piece was produced by Razan Ghalayini with Ishan Thakore and edited by Daphne Gomez-Mena.

The financial problems of MAGA insurrectionists are already being highlighted when last year no one could understood why looters took advantage of BLM protests 😒

When the smallest, most fragile looking old lady, tells me to put my body on the line it makes me want to..but growing up around Phoenix police has not just frustrating, but terrifying.. I often find myself searching for a bravery that falls short and it’s shameful.

Capitol Police have executed people who took a wrong turn and drove in front of the building with a baby in the car, took canes from the blind etc. Someone PURPOSEFULLY ignored protocol.

Nice job, Samantha! I wish everyone could see this….. Using that lady’s wheelchair after taking it from her to get rid of protesters…. SHAMEFUL!!😔 God bless you for sharing this point.🙏

Prayer is powerful. People need to put action behind it. People also need to put action behind their repentance. L’chaim from Jacova born March 11…in Bethlehem.

Let’s throw out that scared for my life argument they use when shooting unarmed people who are running away. we heard the testimony when they were scared for their lives “I didn’t want to use my gun because they would have killed me”

Always such great work, fun to watch while driving home a very important point. And I loved the adorable women in the old tv, it’s all in the details!

if the insurrectionists were anything but white. law enforcement would have run out of bullets and taken to the hospital to treat their rotator cuff injuries from straining their shoulders beating them. it should have been a bloodbath but obviously was not.

I can’t believe they handcuffed the nuns behind their backs, they hardly have the strength to talk.

It’s like those racists don’t know they get special treatments from cops never beating them up.

Sadly and ironically the mostly peaceful and unarmed people on the left have for decades been feared by the establishment and mistreated while the real threat to democracy has always been from right-wing fascists and white supremacists.

Sorry, but I just love that mental image.
