ReplyOverturning Roe V. Wade has little to do with abortion. It has EVERYTHING to do with the Religious Right ESTABLISHING their ability to legislate through the U.S. Supreme Court. They were able to do this because they control the REPUBLICAN PARTY and its politicians. That’s how they got their so-called ‘conservative’ — but in reality religious zealot loonies — like Amy Coney Barret, Brett Kavanaugh, and Neil Gorsuch onto SCOTUS. Any change to Roe V. Wade is prohibited by the Establishment Clause. Pregnancy is a biological condition of a biological entity and it is up to that entity as to whether or not that condition is allowed to proceed. The entire motive of the “anti-abortion” crowd is RELIGIOUS. All of these state laws regarding a woman’s Right to Choose is all RELIGION based and seeks to place a religious doctrine into law. If anything, SCOTUS should hold all of those laws “void ob Initio.”

ReplySCOTUS is an illegitimate institution and needs to be dismantled by any means necessary. No governmental body that takes civil rights _away_ from people after 50 years has a claim to legitimacy.

ReplyIt isnty about what the people want… It’s about what the Constitution of the United States of America says.It was interrupted wrong when rvw was brought before it. Abortion is not a constitutional right.The reason we have “self government” is for each individual state to decide issues such as abortion.What is wrong with that? It puts the real power back on individuals hands to decide such issues and leaves the Federal government to run the country.
ReplyThe Supreme Court was stolen by Republicans over 20 years and Dems let them do it; what do you expect? It’s as partisan as the other two branches and they find ways, however convoluted, to get to where they wanted to go to in the very beginning. Republicans have cheated, lied, and stole elections, to win and when they lose to Dems they scream how the election was stolen when they are doing all the stealing. Expand the Supreme Court and load it up with people who favor democracy for people over profits for corporations.
