Word kid. It’s way harder to fix these chip, plastic, robotic cars. I miss my 88 Nissan Trucky…
ReplyFrom some tech YouTube channel to Daily show, we made it
ReplyYes, I hope there’s clearer legislation on the right to repair. Companies like Apple, John Deere and the ice cream machine manufacturer should either make their manuals and tools available, or else provide necessary repairs FOR FREE. If Apple isn’t allowed to keep squeezing Epic Games’ users on their subscription fees, then they shouldn’t be able to get away with limiting customers’ abilities to fix their own devices.
ReplyThe main BS is some product’s warranties are voided if taken apart.
ReplyHow spoiled XD.
ReplyAt least these restrictions gave us the cooles super hero of all time: Robert DeNiro as an illegal plumber in Brazil
ReplyThere is major legislation in 12 states to make it possible for farmers to repair farm machinery legally. John Deere gets 6 times as much money from repairing equipment as they do from selling it. It’s not a skill question; they have LAWS that make it illegal for farmers to use anyone but the manufacturer. (NFU, May 24, 2021)
ReplyThis is way more cyberpunk than any cute loliladyboigurl in a black leather skirt and goggles.

ReplyIt’s because of technology and intellectual theft in China or other countries that don’t have copyright laws to protect something you created. And prevents them from stealing your ideas and making a profit. That’s why they are keeping their information secret and charging you to fix their products.
ReplyAnd on top of all that the pollution factor. All these companies like to use the environment as one of their causes but put in these types of policies that cause people to just throw away things that can be repaired because the price of fixing it is the same or almost the same as the price of a new one. Plus the fact that half these things especially the batteries are harmful to the environment and can poison waterways and thereby poison people.
