Early 70’s in the small town where I grew up, parents began warning us never 2accept natural (i.e. an apple) or homemade (caramel corn, etc) treats because some kid we never heard of bit into one and found a razor blade. After that things never changed back. Too scary for parents. By the same train of thought ..nowadays.. don’t even try bringing homemade cookies into yr child’s school for a class party. Everything must be commercially packaged 4the children’s safety. Expensive and oh so blah.
