ReplyI really don’t get why this is confusing. The CDC makes recommendations based upon data. They are not the police. It is still up businesses, cities and states whether or not to lift mask mandates. Not every state is in the same place when it comes to how well the virus has been controlled. My King Sooper’s still requires masks. It is up to them whether or not to lift the mask mandate at this time. It just not that difficult.

ReplyIt’s not that hard: The guidelines are designed to navigate between hospital over-crowding and financial damage. If personal safety is your goal, isolate, wear masks everywhere even when vaccinated. If other people’s safety is your goal, isolate, wear a mask everywhere, even when vaccinated.

ReplyIf you are fully vaccinated, trust the science, and feel safe, go without a mask. If you have young children who aren’t vaccinated yet, or immunocompromised friends and family, or you just feel peace of mind wearing the mask for a bit longer, you’re free to wear it. (That’ll be me for now!) And if you aren’t vaccinated and refuse to wear a mask, well, I hope those people like their Darwin Award. They’re doing the world a favor by ending genetic idiocy. 😉

ReplyGot my 2nd Pfizer shot 4 days ago, no side effects at all, just a little sore arm for 12 hours. I told 3 of my Latino neighbors where to get it without appointment, 1 said “it’s sketchy, never” he also not going to wear his mask. One of them still think covid19 is caused by 5G. I think they just refused to read the facts out there. I plan to wear my mask when I’m near strangers or big crowds until end of this year 😌

Rats, this messes with my ability to shame the nonmaskers and tell them to put DNR on their forehead so they get special tRump care. My county is only 22% vaccinated and cases are rising again. I am staying home, have full freezer and plenty of critter feed til the mask mandate is put back in place.
