And more sad news for Rick Perry: *LensCrafters* repossessed his “smart
guy” glasses after he failed to make the remaining 3 payments. He will be
missed. Actually, the *glasses* will be missed… by Rick Perry… who
    needs glasses.

I don’t understand the ridicule against having so many presidential
candidates. Why is that not a good thing? Isn’t that like….you
know….how a democracy works? You elect your officials from a pool of
candidates? I think It’s more democratic to vote for 1 of 30 candidates
than it is to vote for only 1 of 2.

Granted, I’d be hard pressed to find a single one of our current candidates
that’s worth anything…..but that’s not the point. The point is we should
have a large number of candidates for president because that means we have
a wider variety to choose from (assuming they don’t all have the same
    policies, and values).

I think the media is trying to convince us that many candidates is a bad
thing because the corporations that run this country (and the media) don’t
want someone in the presidency that didn’t select. If you only have 2
candidates running, you can more easily buy one of them, whereas it’s much
more difficult if you have many more.

Seriously, this is The Colbert Report, no doubt about it. And the sad thing
is, it shows in the ratings. I mean, he has the biggest over-all audience,
but he loses in the key demo to Fallon since night two. The only way he
could win is by going full force, by risking to lose the older audience,
which tends to be more conservative and in general in more likely to watch
CBS than NBC. What do I mean? Really go full THe Colber Report or full The
Daily Show and make it all about politics. Be the only late night show with
that as a main focus and be a really alternative to Fallon and co through
that. When he does that, the only competition in that field would be Larry
Wilmore on Comedy Central with The Nightly Show. What he is doing now is a
Frankenstein out of what he does do best, political comedy with a touch of
variety show in it, and what Letterman does and what Fallon does way better
than he does, light-hearted, everyday comedy with a touch of variety show
    in it.

So glad that Late night finally has someone really talking about politics,
which is way more important than watching Ariana Grande do her Celine Dion
impression again. He’s bringing something different to the Late night arena
than what the Jimmys are doing. I love Stephen Colbert!

It really saddens me to see that Trump has THIS much support. If you listen
to what he says with logic and not “he’s yelling with power, he must be
good” then you would have a different opinion about them. I miss Trump when
he was on TV shows, and not acting to fuck up society.
