“Hot new single Crawling Kingsnake” is one of those phrases you never expect to see and have to pinch yourself when you do.

Dan’ s looking a little heavier than he used to. These guys sure can still play the blues, this has serious chulahoma vibes to it.

That song would have been so much better as an instrumental. When the vocals stop, the real music starts.

So they only sing in sharps or flats. Got it.

Not sure about the falsetto, but this is a fantastic song nonetheless!

Always nice to hear some reinterpretations of classics, but for my money, I’ll stick to the version by North Mississippi All-Stars.

    I remember discovering these guys.
I was looking up a lesser known type of blues after reading an article on it.
I wanted to hear some so I went to YouTube. On the side with suggested similar videos of blues performed by older gnarled black folk where these 2 skinny very pale, very young white guys.

I was like “ why the hell are these two dudes in with these blues craftsmen!!?”
So I listened ….and I’ve been a fan ever since.

It’s not the color of your skin that matters, it’s the color of your soul. The Black Keys have indigo souls.
