Late-night legend Arsenio Hall makes his first visit to A Late Show and Stephen has a million questions. Watch the two hosts get started with stories from behind the scenes at “The Arsenio Hall Show” and the unbelievable experiences Arsenio had working with Johnny Carson. Stick around for part two of this interview, and don’t miss “Coming 2 America” when it premieres on Amazon Prime on March 5th. #Colbert #Coming2America #ArsenioHall
Such a great interview! Stephen and Arsenio are culture icons!!
ReplyWait, how is this guy possibly 65?
Replyi thought Ru Paul wore glasses
ReplyWhat a lovely human being. I miss him.
ReplyLoved this! I remember my Dad was a big Carson fan, saw Arsenio on the show, and got a VCR just because he couldn’t miss either show. Most out-of-character thing Dad ever did. Looking back, it makes perfect sense. No overlap but both satisfying entertainment.
ReplyGreat to see Arsenio :)). Carson also wrote jokes for David Letterman. Letterman revealed that after Carson passed. Stephen, you make this crazy time bearable. :). Thanks from Canada.
Reply…”Arsenioooooooooooooooooooo Haaaaaaaaaaall!”
ReplyI can still hear the announcer’s voice in my head ❤
Arsenio Hall’s Netflix special “Smart & Classy” is hilarious! Mr. Hall made episode 7 of “Just Another Immigrant” a classic. Cannot wait for the sequel to Coming to America…March can’t come soon enough.
ReplyI COULD WATCH HOURS OF ARSENIO TALK AND I HAVE TY STEPHEN
Replyover the years, arsenio and conan had always been my favorite hosts.
ReplyAwesome and Classic episode The Late Show with Stephen Colbert with Arsenio Hall. I was teenager running home after the lights came on to make sure I was ready for the Arsenio Hall Show. Thank you Arsenio Hall, you portfolio is and will always be apart of my history.
ReplyThe bark was so ubiquitous that it was forever enshrined in a bunch of early 90s comedies, my personal favorite being in Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
ReplyAlso I appreciate the Zamunda matte painting in the background
Replyloved this interview! ty mr hall, mr and mrs colbert, mr batiste and stay human, and now i understand about the hat! i saw the 2nd part 1st, lol!
ReplyWOW! Literal physical goosebumps, Arsenio telling those stories, that was unexpected
ReplyPeople act like Arsenio invented the “barking” thing, but he didn’t. The Chicago Bears and fans were all doing doing it during the 1985 season. His show didn;t start until years later. And of course, the Cleveland Browns had the “Dog Pound” for decades.
