ReplyLike how I qualify for disability at the state level to get Medicaid in the reddest states and have no work requirements for SNAP, yet I’m constantly denied disability assistance from the Federal level. I get food and medical assistance for which I am eternally grateful, but still rely on the good graces of others for toiletries and a place to sleep…

ReplyWhen I was in my 30’s I suffered 5+ heart attacks which got me unemployed and 8 days after my open-heart surgery I went to apply for food stamps, they told I had been making too much money, after I explained I had been unemployed for about 9 mos, the lady asked me why I wasn’t able to work, I got so angry I opened my shirt and took my gauzes off to show her my surgery. She ended up approving my application and I got $40.00 whole dollars as my benefit.

ReplyIt’s annoying how many women have babies when they’re not financially or mentally capable, but it’s even worse how we have billions of dollars for every other thing in the world except for Americans. We could have a higher quality of life for everyone, but our government is worthless.
