I suspect part of the reason it was the speech of a generation was precisely because it wasn’t prepared. Just unfiltered truth.

She openly defends one of the worst virulent antisemites of the US, Louis Farrakhan. She can’t claim to be this beacon of civility, fairness and civil rights.

Hey Colbert not to throw off your show have you heard that Bidens son is involved in a corruption scandal with Ukraine and China and its not smear campaign…the truth is in a laptop left at a shop by his son Hunter…how come you never talk about that….oops I forgot it’s your Democrat friends …sorry…what a joke you are and hypocrite

Going against the wishes of the mothers of murdered children shouldn’t be rewarded with an interview with Stephen Colbert. Boo to this grifter.

Over the past year, the number of Black Americans being featured in film & TV, in both ensembles & lead roles, as well as in profiles like this, has increased measurably for the first time since the early 90’s. It looks like Hollywood is finally listening & implementing real change for once. It’s also proof that civil protest works when it comes to elevating representation. Lets hope the day comes, sooner than later, when it’s not notable because representation is society wide, & minorities see themselves everywhere.

Tamika Mallory spoke from her heart for that speech and named our American internal conflicts. The sharing of protest resources on how to deal with everything from pepper spray to tear gas to rights to be on the sidewalk are now part of Civil Rights Activist Lexicon thanks to contributors from past protest, conflicts in other countries and the Occupy movement. Let’s do away with rubber bullets, nobody uses them in the manner suggested in the heat of conflict and disfigure or blind citizens as a result.

Why did Lisa Kudrow and the monologue show up in my feed but not Tamika Mallory? I went to the Late show YouTube channel to look for this interview when he mentioned Tamika was a guest in the other video, and still couldn’t find it. Only when I searched Tamika Mallory’s name in YouTube did the video pop up. Is she being shadow banned?

I consider myself pro Palestinian (including having taught near Jenin in the West Bank and witnessing how they were mistreated by the Israeli military), but I’m extremely disappointed that Stephen Colbert had this, at best, apologist for virulent anti Semite and homophobe Louis Farrakhan. I participated in the Women’s March in 2016, but after hearing about her turning a blind eye while he spouted his atrocious comments (again), I didn’t want to associate with that organization again. I understand that the Nation of Islam has been helpful to some people, but i don’t understand why they don’t find another leader who doesn’t say such reprehensible things or reinforces the negative stereotypes that Americans have about Muslims. Also, not that I care about what conservatives say, but not calling out people like Ms Mallory when they say or excuse hateful actions/words makes it so easy for conservatives to label our side a bunch of hypocrites for not pointing out when our own engage in behavior that would get them excoriated if they were not on the left.
