White folks SHOULD be uncomfortable about race: too many have never read, or even tried to understand, the history of racism in the USA. I’ve written about this for years: three-year-old children are well versed in racism and they put that to practice in inventive ways. The notion that we can just brush away our racial history in the US is ludicrous at best.

R: “Whites never did anything wrong, and I’m offended if you say so”.
D: “You’re racist just because you’re white… also, we know have lotteries for college entry, to not offend dumb people”.
    Me: “….. I can’t even think of a joke”.

The same folks who put a “Black lives splatter” sticker on their truck are now scared about their kids learning how the country was founded by slaveowners.
These people are pathetic. And if you let them take over the country, that will be the end for it.

This is what M A G A has ALWAYS stood for. They want to move the clock back to the ’40’s and ’50’s when blacks and women were “kept in their places.” They want to literally white wash history in general and American history in particular. Fascism is once again on the rise around the world. Remember the little grade school girl who quoted Hitler during an anti mask rant at a school board meeting sometime last year and introduced it as “A QUOTE BY A GREAT LEADER, ADOLPH HITLER.” This scares the hell out of me. This is where repugnicans want to take us. Skeptical? Just look at all the Nazi’s who’ve come out of the woodwork since The Big Fat Orange was elected. And don’t forget the attempted coup which was ironically foiled by the riotous insurrection of Jan.6, 2021. That’s right. That horseshit Lindsey Graham spouted when congress reconvened is the opposite of what he planned to say but the riot turned him and SOME of the other traitors chicken and they backed out of the planned coup attempt which was to object to the certification of any swing state that went for Biden Since then repugnicans have put laws in place that will allow them to legally steal future elections. Which is why, now more than ever we have to VOTE BLUE IN ’22 AND ONCE MORE IN ’24!!!

The Party of Facts Don’t Care About Your Feelings is banning books and classes that teach certain facts because they hurt certain white people’s feelings.

If black history makes you feel uncomfortable, then I hate to point this out. Black history is American history. It wasn’t just white people that rebuilt the south after the civil war, but black or African-Americans did also. So suck it up butter cup. Just becuase you’re uncomfortable doesn’t mean the facts of slavery cannot exist. The US is not the only country in the world that had or has slavery. Also if you’re uncomfortable, you’re probably a racist…

Hearing about this makes me grateful for my NZ education. While learning about colonization as a Brit sucked, I came out of it a better person.

I also love that we’re still improving on how we teach the bad parts of our past, as well as cultural awareness.

The issue isn’t teaching history, the issue is politicizing it into pitting people against each other by teaching guilt, self-hatred under the guise of accountability and knowledge. That’s why education differs in Germany from the USA. In Germany they were taught that their actions in the 1930s and 1940s were wrong, everything that led up to it and to understand how people at the time thought and why. In the USA it seems that education is used as a means to divide people with talks of privilege, racism and victimhood, worshipping one group and demonizing the other. This is where the U.S. education system (not to mention the entertainment industry) fails. In my humble opinion the USA needs to go through a process in which all these different sectors of society get ”reprogrammed”. In other words, get rid of activists posing as teachers, screenplay writers and biased inexperienced police officers and use strict guidelines that put objectivity and safety at the forefront. People should be able to have an education that actually gets them ahead in life by painting the entire picture in an objective manner that encourages reflection, not one that tells you whom to vote for or whose side to pick. I believe that is the only way the USA can truly move forward.

I thought Stephen was going to deal with Florida’s cameras & microphones in every classroom to make sure teachers aren’t violating the law.
