ReplyMy advice to anyone who is looking for a job is to find a place where you can have a direct relation with the owner, not a supervisor or manager, those people look for their own interest and most likely they are going to take credit for your good ideas or blame you for their failures.
ReplyConan was able to recognize talent like any good boss and made sure you had a chance to become better and seeing how many people were able to have careers after his shows is a sign that many of us could do better, sometimes is a matter of a mix of talent and luck.

ReplyTo me, the idea of a PA is kind of weird because it seems in LA everyone has to have one. A writer who can barely make rent gets their first paying gig and suddenly they need an assistant.

ReplySona won Phi Ro Pi. That’s not a real national championship, its not even THAT big of a tournament. I won 2 Phi Ro Pi championships and those some speeches weren’t good enough to be top 24 at NFA or AFA the same year.
ReplyI say this not to hate, I love Sona and Phi Ro Pi, but I imagine the look on her face if Conan sees this and starts joking about it, and I smile.
I think watching Conan help Sona is one of the most genuine moving things one can find on new boob tube.
She deserves it and it feels real.

Replymoved to California a few months Conan retired from late night. started watching him when I was around 15. 1996ish. was very disappointed I didn’t get to watch a live tapping.
