Seth helps decide which of the new streaming services is worth the cost by comparing each one to the thrill of learning to pop a wheelie on a bike when you’re twelve-years-old and other childhood legends.

I dunno about you people, but I am specifically shunning Disney. They’ve really screwed up Star Wars, are in the process of screwing over the MCU, they bribed RottenTomatoes and a LOT of critics, even went so far as to buy seats out in the first half hour in theaters just to get people to think their flicks weren’t woke with garbage writing, and are under investigation for inflating their profits for decades artificially. And on top of that, Disney still has the gall to sequester away all the old Fox flicks like Alien so they can charge us 20 bucks a pop to get them like the rest of the Disney flicks.

I have Netflix and Prime video.. gotta say I like the content in Prime much more. Netflix is focused mainly on orig content which are hit and miss. Prime is more for studio movies and tv shows/documentaries. I really like that Prime is connected to IMDB. When you pick a movie in Prime, it tells you the IMDB score right there so you have at least an idea if this is going to be a good one or not. or vice versa, when you are on IMDB.com it tells you if that movie is available to watch on prime at the moment. Prime also has the option of renting or buying something if it isnt avail for free. Only downside I find to Prime is the app itself. You can miss out on a bunch of content if navigated the wrong way

Nothing compares to having a decent alternative to Netflix. Ever since they changed their format to instantly blast those annoying previews the second you hover over a program choice I haven’t been able to watch unless I know exactly what i’m watching beforehand. As soon as I see “The Irishman”, i’m canceling.

What about seeing that kid in the Mr T sweatshirt do a flying kick and dent a teacher’s car in the school parking lot and then disappear WHILE chucking a basketball totally at random from across the gym and making the basket WHILE popping your first wheelie on your Mongoose bike when you were 12, eh?! 😂

I look forward to Seth’s glowing review of NBC Peacock when it launches next year. “NBC Peacock: It’s good, and it has series from both myself and Late Night writers like Amber, but it just doesn’t quite compare to that time Lee Thompson left such a giant log in the boy’s bathroom that the vice principal had to come in and break it apart with his shoe so he could flush it. Winner: Lee Thompson’s log. Sorry, corporate overlords.”

remember back when you got a pack of M80s? and got with your friends and stole a lighter and went to the park and lit one up and blew your hand off and had wear a cast and get a fake hand and mom got pissed? Yea, that was GREAT! (Farley, RIP)

They may look cool, but a fying kick has significantly less power than a standing one .

    Streaming is garbage.
    Back in my day:
You just went on the site my free tv, and watched whatever shows you wanted without having to buy something you don’t really need, and already watched a bunch of times.

serious point though – kids nowadays (OMG never thought I’d use that phrase) are *glued* to SCREENS instead of outside, popping wheelies or playing ball or just being kids, just being active and outside doing whatever…

Chucking a basketball backwards from half court, fifth grade. All time winner, thanks to my classmate Frank! So much better than being jealous of the diabetic kid cause she got to have cookies DURING THE DAY, anytime.
