On the other hand my cure for a hangover is not to drink alcohol in the first place and then I don’t suffer from any hangovers. My version seems to be much better than yours in that I used to drink booze up until October 2003 and haven’t touched a drop since then….I can’t even stand the smell of it never mind the taste and I avoid any locations where I know that it’s going to be served. I wasn’t an alcoholic when I stopped drinking but just got sick, tired and fed up of suffering from horrendous hangovers and I used logic and told myself that if I didn’t drink booze in the first place then I wouldn’t have those hangovers. After 18+ years it seems to have worked for me, doesn’t it?
You’d think that I wouldn’t have any problems when it comes to me being teetotal but unfortunately that simply isn’t the case. I’ve experienced lots of hostility from people because I’ve refused to participate in drinking culture over that same time period. I think that most people believe that I’m antisocial and that I’m going to endlessly lecture them on the evils of alcohol which is untrue – it’s like anything else….if I choose to put anything into my own body then that’s my choice and nobody else’s and likewise if they choose to get pissed simply to fit in with their friends then that’s their choice as well, isn’t it?
