“I refuse to allow any party affiliation to stop me from being what I’m going to be when I leave, and what I was before I came.” “America, A Redemption Story” author and Republican Senator Tim Scott discusses not sidestepping the issue of race for his party, where he places blame on January 6th, and helping his grandfather vote for Barack Obama. #DailyShow #Comedy
I don’t care about your race
ReplyYou are ignoring me
ReplyI thought when he mentioned that black folks are conservative he would’ve elaborated on that. Instead Rep. Scott started on the republican record from 2016-2020. I was giving the brother the benefit of doubt but the politician came out.
ReplyCharter schools are a joke! They ignore special needs students and kick out tough students… It’s a lot less expensive to teach kids you hand pick bc they don’t need extra attention or other resources. Not to mention many are just profit centers for investors.
ReplyThanks for doing this interview Trevor! Tim Scott was right when he said you do your job very well. As a dem these past 61 yrs, I would actually be interested in sitting down with Mr. Scott to understand his views.
ReplyThis was a dope interview
ReplyWow! Once again, great interview Trevor!
ReplyNo.
ReplyHe makes a joke after every difficult question, turns to the the audience and says something to get a reaction.
Then after everyone forgot the question, he twists it around and answers his own question
ReplyI considered myself “conservative” for quite a long time… Then the “conservative” party got hijacked
ReplyI would use his book to hold up my window…that’s about it.
ReplyYour story is no different than any other black man around America you’re still a political hack voting against helping black folks give me a break
ReplyJust call him Token
ReplyThis was a heated session, very impressive.
ReplySenator Scott, you being a black Republican, and telling your story of disadvantage in the United States just because of being black, the fact that you still vote party over country and over people, makes you a walking oxymoron. Wake up! The people needs you much more than the GOP.
