In the final part of his conversation with Stephen Colbert, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker shares memories of evacuating the Senate chamber on January 6th, 2021 and says the violence and hatred he witnessed that day will haunt him for the rest of his life. #Colbert #CoryBooker #SenatorBooker
Didn’t this clown pull a insurrection on Jan 16th..why is he not in jail?
Reply“The traitors’ flag” – indeed.
ReplySen. Booker is just a profoundly good dude. Genuine to the core and sincere in his desire to lift the level of discourse and make our nation a more just place.
ReplyI can only imagine the feelings of trauma. Heck, I still feel traumatized and I watched it on television. I’m still horrified!
ReplyAlas, chump / MAGA opened the Overton window on permission to be craziest, worst, meanest, violent self (:-(
ReplyHere is South Africa it is illegal to display or fly the old flag unless in the context of a museum for educational purposes. I don’t understand why the States can’t mandate the same for the Confederate Flag. It is disgraceful that people are still allowed to carry it.
ReplyThe Only non violence option is election of non corporate president and congress. People who are working poor to middleclass. Always same stuff, flowery language with zero answers to solve it. His respected republicans before jan 6 he stated. That is the problem they value their ‘club’ before americans. ‘ We need to end the filibuster’ doesn’t explain how. Corporate democrats are as bad if not worse than republicans. Always complains and act like they have no power even though they have WH and both houses. He talked about threat to supreme court judge WTF do you expect people to just lay down when the court is stealing rights? You expect me to calmly walk into the gas chambers too? No you fight back. Violence is the language of people ignored by their leaders. Violence will be the Only way our leaders will ever actually fix anything clearly elections don’t matter. Biden = corporate rule so is Trump either way companies are more important than the people.
ReplyEventually underneath every comment about how profound Corry Booker is there will be a comment from a person or three who want attention.
ReplyThere are people who need to not see the reality of January 6th because on some level they are complicit. They were too wrapped up in their own feelings of feeling weak scared and afraid to ever question the leadership of our country… They see America as a game field and that their team lost. They are kicking and screaming like toddlers who didn’t get their way and no matter how much you try to explain to this child that there are behavior is not helping anything they persist on their tantrum.
People who still think that all this is fine, should get psychological help (or should be prosecuted for the obvious criminals they are)
Reply1/4 black guy speaking of black rights. Cool. Got it.
ReplySend the Murdochs and Fox News to trial.
Replybullshit is getting thick
ReplyPeople need to realize that for some people, the Civil War has not ended.
ReplyFunny how they tracked down the man carrying the confederate flag, but you can’t track down the guy who planted the pipe bombs, or who built the Hangman Gallows. There’s crystal clear video but not one video of anyone building the Gallows. This was a false flag stage by Pelosi and the democrats with the help of the FBI why wasn’t Ray Epps not arrested? 99.9% of Trump supporters just walked in invited by the CHP
ReplyHow come Colbert staff were release 1 hour after they were arrested, most likely without bail and charges will be dropped.
Americans aren’t buying your BS
The thing that stuck with me was from the impeachment hearing: “…so they came, draped in his flag, and used our flag, the American flag, to bludgeon police officers.”
