Fantastic content, as always 😊❤️
ReplyMay the Loft Law and Rent Control blanket the citizens from Mott to Mulberry, Doyer to Gold, and the surrounding area of Chinatown. The AAPI community of NY takes care of you like you were always “The Upstairs of Downton.”
Reply“We need accomplices, not allies” – this!!!
ReplyI don’t like Samantha b and her audience but I have no hate towards the Asians
ReplyIf you’re gonna support Chinese communities, you better go and support Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Vietnamese, etc. (feel free to add on) communities as well! Racists don’t care about the differences between one Asian culture to another and just attack them all the same. So please support all your local Asian communities, but also recognize the diversity and uniqueness of all the different Asian cultures!
ReplyIt’s Wing On Wo **
ReplyAAPI is yet another string of letters of the alphabet indicating a shared identity. AAPI waters down Asian hate crimes or violence against Asians. Aren’t Asia Pacific Islanders okay with just the first part of their ethnic identity? They’re from Asia, after all. Did people from Samoa asked to be added in this way? Or is this just an example of journalistic politically correctness? Compare these two slogans: “Down with Hatred Against Asians” -or- “Down with Hatred Against AAPI”. (Mom, what’s the P and the I stand for?) Otherwise, why not go all out? Sikhs are Asians, and there have been several shootings at Gurudwaras. So why not AAPIS. And what about Koreans? Many have been attacked. How about AAPISK? And Vietnamese are often targeted with hate crimes. So, what about “Down with Hatred Against AAPISKV”?
ReplyPatronize our businesses if you enjoy our products/services. Otherwise your “support” feels forced and therefore patronizing. Like charity….
ReplyAll the stuff we love about the orient we still love!!!
ReplyN95s should look like a cheapo mask – for the I’m not elite look …. Sam
ReplyI can’t think of anything more “powerful” than documenting Asian skateboarders…

ReplyYOU GO SAM, LOVE YOUR POD.
ReplyIn my adopted city “Chinatown” is in the suburbs whereas in my home city, 15% of people living there were East Asian, mostly Filipino, Japanese, but also Vietnamese and Chinese. People seems to “forget” (or never knew in the first plkaced) that Israel is in Asia, too.
ReplyRamen saved me during college.. I owe them BIG.
ReplyMy daughter cannot wait to go back to our favorite Chinese restaurant to hug her favorite server! Take out just isn’t the same.
ReplyOnly idiots would tie Asian Americans to covid…oh wait, most Trump supporters are idiots and he flamed this. We may have an incredible president now, but we are still feeling the after effects of the 4 yrs prior.
ReplyYes. Stop being racist. It really is just that simple. Knock it off. Hold people accountable for their racist, hateful behavior.
ReplyThank you for your caring support, Samantha Bee and team!
ReplySorry, but the solution is not to have something like block watch. we have to diverse the communities and only that way we can rid of the (negative) sterotypes and get to see the real person behind the skin color
ReplyRemember when this chick said if you disagree with her on gun control you are probably a murderer? :T
ReplySam, you are the best.
ReplyI would hate to see the full frontal of this woke fake blonde piece of 💩!
ReplyI see from the videos that not all antagonist are whites, the blacks are jumping in the bandwagon, the ones that are the target for racist earlier by the whites. How’s that for irony, and how idiotic can these brainwashed pea-brains be???
ReplyAre you kidding me Black Lives Matter ✊🏿
ReplyAsians don’t care about Black Lives Matter ✊🏽
ReplyYEP 👍🏼 think about Black lives you are not dying by police 👿🤬
ReplySome people just don’t understand how other people should be treated. They shouldn’t have to ask to be treated kindly. It should just come naturally.
ReplyAll Liberals need to be Executed
ReplyAm I the only person that can not understand how she is on tv!
ReplyDid we forget Hong Kong?

ReplyKinda wish they mentioned the ways Black and Asian communities have come together for generations as well. Felt like that went unacknowledged.
ReplyI was told not to go into China town by this Asian guy on fb, that they don’t want Black customers. I’m going to respect that man said and support people who actually want my patronage.
ReplyAll Chinatowns look the same. They’re all the same. I didn’t visit SF or Oakland Chinatown prior to pandemic. Not going to start now.
Replylast time i went to china town was 6 years ago i bought two turtles and i sold them recently to a friend. i know my comment is dumb but i remembered that.
ReplyThank you Samantha and team!
ReplyHey stop sending me ads. Your voice gives me a headache and your political commentary is equivalent to an intelligent highschooler who learned about ideology.
ReplyCan’t Understand Normal Thinking.
ReplyThank God Samantha Bee isn’t doing activism for my people or my community. I will try to support my local Asian community to undo the damage this atrocious person is doing with her Faux activism.
It’s a shame white liberals have to ruin everything. They really have no clue how disgusting they are to the entire world. Hopefully this is the death throes of another lame late night talk show run by a host who doesn’t have a clue about the real world or what it means to work for a living.
ReplyHow is ‘more police’ the answer to everything in America?
ReplyEspecially when those affected are never consulted nor any attempt made to understand their existing relationship with the police?
I think asians, blacks, hispanics, indians, arabs, native Americans, all should support each other really Divided, we’re weak, united we can be stronger.
ReplyGo there and ask them to wash their hands after using a restroom!!!
ReplyArent you the girl who called a kid with cancer a n*zi?

ReplyI do so wish there was one of those anywhere in 500 miles here. I’d hang out.right now
ReplyI enjoyed your hype on the fake Russian bounty gate story. You are a pathetic pos!! If your lips are moving, you are lying!!!!!!!
ReplySam, you are contributing to the confusion. Asia is not only China.
ReplyThank you Samantha Bee for highlighting what is happening in the AAPI community and how to help.
ReplyGreat segment Sam😎
ReplyI love the show, but just a heads up that part of the video’s thumbnail actually features Singapore’s Chinatown—specifically, the layer with the colonial shophouses and the lanterns. It’s quite obvious because that style of architecture is unique to Southeast Asia. I feel like conflating parts of Asia with American Chinatowns kind of undermines the message of support for AAPI communities…
ReplySamantha Bee…professional race baiter.
ReplyGo to Hong Kong or Beijing with a fake black husband.
1st question ,,”are you blind or does your monkey dance?”
The most racist zenaphobic Humans on earth are these you defend.
They sent my boo near to suicide.
Ask one of your put upon individuals,
“How would you feel if your child married a black person” (Without blatant cameras)
You might be kinda disgusted by their beliefs.
David “Miller” duke would say “THAT’S ENOUGH”
“not like they’re all janitors”
Don’t defend the oppressers,
Expand your mind.
After the answer,
ReplyYou rock
ReplyPeace and health
Reply“we need accomplices not allies” is the best advice against racism EVER and i am gonna use it ! bravo !
Reply👍
Reply5:18 “when rent gets so high that you can no longer keep the business you have built…that is a type of violence, too”. um, no. it’s not. you can argue racism or discrimination or greed, but that’s not violence.
ReplyWait, Chinatown still exists? Oh… In New York City. Glad you addressed the issue of gentrification.
