ReplyWait… is Poussey still alive?
ReplyIt’s a curiosity that with most male names, when they start to be adopted by females (or more accurately given to girls by their parents at birth) they slowly stop being used by males, e.g. Francis, Claire, Leslie. Some male names withstand female adoption such as Lee. But most don’t.
ReplyHer name, _Samira_ in Arabic means _’a beloved person in company who is a pleasant entertainer.’_
I guess she fits it.

ReplyDead like me had a George, too.
ReplyOutstanding person
ReplyIs it just me or are we going back to the styles of 1975 or around that timeframe? I see many many women wearing bell bottoms (as we called them) and many many women have hair styles from the 1970’s as well (Farrah Fawcett hair comes to mind). And for me at 60 the timeline is right on for me to remember these styles from my teen years….lol. I LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDang! That suit is fierce!

ReplyGreat actress and congratulations to you and yours. One of my closest pal is Georgina on her birth certificate, but has always been known as George.
ReplyOh, I definitely binged all the seasons again in preparation for season four. And I definitely agree that is pretty unhealthy to do so.

ReplyHer Emmys Debacle should be turned into a movie!
ReplyInteresting but so true
ReplyJune has become reckless
ReplyI like gender neutral names, girls with boy names, or girl names that can be shortened into a boy’s name. It adds character I think. There used to be a show called Sisters and the story was that since the father never got his boy, he nicknamed his daughters male versions of their full names. Also love the Nancy Drew reference. Lol Love Samira!
ReplyI swear to god if June doesn’t get on the boat.
ReplyI cried when she died in OITNB
Replyas a Handmaids binge watcher I feel attacked lol
ReplyAnyone else get Viola Davis vibes from her? Regal, stunning performances. Both outstanding actors!!
ReplySamira has the BEST skin!!!!!!!!
ReplyI agree! I could not binge watch the show. I would need therapy.
ReplyAgreed! We built in an hour of our workday today to discuss…too much draining emotion for a binge!

ReplyFather named me a girl Terry Lee..so many teachers tried to make my name Theresa or must spell it with an i.. crazy..even had a teacher ask me why my daddy would give me a boys name..I said to teach me how to put up with senseless conformity. is not the reason but it became my answer.
ReplyHave A feeling June will save get daughter and die without making it out she seems to have adapted to pain
ReplyWant to know why that Series is scary AF? Because I can see it happening in real life all these overly religious ppl using the bible to fit their agenda
ReplyI think Samira just single-handedly brought bell bottoms back. Please let that be true.
