Sam Richardson talks about growing up Black in Ghana and Detroit, shares his experiences with racial prejudice, and reflects on his and Conan’s trip to Ghana.
I live in Jamaica and my gf lives in the US and she’s wants me to live with her but because of America’s racism im not so sure about it
Such a horrible situation to see someone who we have always enjoyed for humor and levity and realize all of the underlying pain and frustration.
Stop talking about “racism” if color is not relevant. Morgan Freeman said it well: https://youtu.be/gFP4dJHJXoI
Why are you in Detroit.? Why
This stuff shouldn’t be on the channel Sorry 👎
wanna be friends?
Thamls for doing this, Conan. It is very important to listen to their stories and their experiences. Take care, stay safe and healthy Conan and Sam Richardson ♥
I hope one day we can all be treated as equals… Regardless of skin colour.
Conan always been my boy!!! Thank you for listening to us share our plight!!!
Conan you need to invite Deon Cole, please!!!
I don’t understand what’s the problem with racist people ..God help them
Hey..we’re all from Africa.
Growing up black: it growing up like a normal human being
All of these individual stories are valuable for understanding the perception that people hold, but they are usually impossible to attribute to racism. Personal experience can lead to an emotional state where you see a cause in something that is not there.
Now do the same thing with every single minority including Italians, Irish, German, ECT. Our voices need to be heard too.
Very glad to see friends sharing time and relating under saddening circumstances
I think anyone who has a platform like Conan should continue to keep the conversation going.
Those two stories I heard happened to me as well.
Thanks Conan. Now is the time for us white people to listen. Also, thank you for showing that we are not all racist. Hell, being of Irish descent like yourself I would happily marry a black woman, not only cuz I’m not racist, but I think my DNA could use some help! (Of course that’s a joke, so please don’t take that all wrong folks). As a fellow artist our crafts bring levity and gravity simultaneously, and that’s the art of life. Thanks again man that clip has class. P. S. Thank you to Sam because your point about education is crucial. Knowledge is the opposite of ignorance, and education is that cure. Peace
For a sec I thought he was interviewing A$AP FERG.
I love you Conan. I cannot believe you are getting into politics. I am done
George Floyd faked his death.
Conan has reached the point in an Irishman’s life when he gets sunburned from staying indoors
Conan I’ve loved your show for so long. I love you as a person even more now. Thank you for this open conversations about what’s going on. God bless you.
im black and i have never had anything bad happen to me cuz of my skin color
Thank you, Sam and Conan. I appreciate these thoughtful conversations.
Yo conan 8mill reached now its skit time
Or is it, Black LIves ALSO Matter
you were told to get back after approaching an officer at night time? how did you recover? this is truly evidence of systemic racism. horrible
What’s up with his hair? Isn’t that one of his trademarks
Proof that cops are trained to be insane, hystrionic and dismissive of black lives. Systemic racism doesn’t necessarily mean intentional but it’s still SYSTEMIC.
“Don’t lie who’s been a fan of Team Coco for more than a day”
(He just commented on my newest video omg)
Conan, if you read these, please use your 160 IQ and Harvard education to critically evaluate the changing attitudes in this country and come to a logical conclusion on the way we are headed. A handful of centrists attempting to bridge the divide are not going to make up for the millions pacing out a steady trek toward chaos and destruction. Please heed this and get yourself and your family to a safe (rural and self-sufficient) location before the unrest escalates further.
This kind of conversation between blacks and whites is long overdue. Thanks Conan for this encouragement.
I’m the same age and growing up, I never saw any of the racism he’s saying he’s experienced. He’s a fictional story teller. Racism is pretty much non existent today. It’s created by people like him. Blm people are the most racist of all. How about saying black lives matter TOO, instead of rambling on about nonsense? You are a racist and don’t even know it or will ever acknowledge it.
As a person not living in America. My question is why did Sam and his family move to a country which they seem to hate and clearly makes them so angry. Why move out of Ghana?
