Rudy Seems to Know a Lot About Dementia

Published on September 30, 2020

James Corden kicks off the show on the night of the first debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and all the talk leading into it was about Trump’s ridiculous demands for a drug test and hearing aid inspection. And James asks head writer Ian Karmel for a primer on Rudy Giuliani after seeing a clip of Rudy malfunction on Fox & Friends.

I mean he didn’t call him a jive turkey, but did say “you wouldn’t know the suburbs if you took a wrong turn, I was RAISED in the suburbs”, so I think Reggie still gets the point.

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

FYI the Trump campaign said Biden asked for breaks. The Biden campaign said they didn’t and the Trump campaign lied. Who are you going to believe.
