Soccer is deadly boring and a poor metaphor for any kind of nationalistic expression. Cricket, is the game man.

You need to drop the guests, nobody Cares anymore. While you’re at it drop the studio and, the crowd to, was a much better show.

I didn’t bother watching this. I just looked at the comments to figure out the reveal. A sports comment. A mere contrivance. John Oliver does not give a rip about sports but he knows you do. This is why mr. Oliver keeps an entire team of people on staff to advise him of what ideological positions to hold and what to say concerning sporting events.

He also does this with his news reports.

John Oliver is a contrivance of popular opinions designed to sell you things and influence your spending patterns.

ATT owns a big chunk of Oliver. Disney has a chunk of him too.

Their fool is allowed to say pretty much anything but I guarantee they do have their limits and everytime Mr. Oliver might find himself in hot water he goes on “vacation”.

This allows large corporate concerns to seem magnanimously “above the fray” which might appeal to some employers who long ago learned that the grunts you hire to do a job for you probably don’t like you and they talk behind your back. If you are stable enough it doesn’t matter. If you are not stable words alone can sink your battleship. ATT apparently feels like it doesn’t matter. If their clown gets ahead of the potential difficulty and points it out first or as soon as there is a murmur among the population then they have effectively diffused the situation and offered a kind of proof that it doesn’t matter. If those corporate concerns had waited for the murmurings to occur naturally then they are stuck with a lack of faith and trust concerns that could seriously impact their stock price.

Don’t believe me? Pick any bank and ask a manager about their views concerning “LifeLock” you will barely be able to get them to admit that they know what LifeLock is.

The real reason for this apparent lack of recognition is that LifeLock has cost the banking industry dearly.
It is a perversion of intent that even allows LifeLock to exist in the first place. If you are silly enough to lock your credit report the result of that will be you getting the cold shoulder for several months or years if you need to create any additional credit. The banking industry still recognizes a credit lock as you acknowledging that your identity has been compromised. This will result in a nightmare for you if an emergency arises that requires you to borrow money. More of LifeLocks customers are injured by this problem than are actually protected .

Our real protection is called FDIC insurance and the fraud protection that banks naturally offer.

If you try to get too far ahead of a potential problem like fraud you become the problem.

LifeLock is a frivolous insurance for which you already have insurances. It’s like buying old world airport insurance from a machine at the airport. The odds on it ever having to pay off were slim to none and the potential for fraud was extreme. If your client who died in a plane crash has the policy in their pocket but it remains unrecorded anywhere else, why would you bother to pay? If family doesn’t have a copy of the policy how will they collect? Nobody on the sale side of the equation ever bothered to look at the policies after they were sold. If you were ripped out of a plane in midair prior to the internet chances are the policy would blow away in the wind. You might be able to tuck the policy away in your luggage but again no guarantee. Now that you can email a copy of the policy to family for safe keeping , suddenly airport insurance is no longer for sale at the airport.

It was all a confidence scam . So is John Oliver.
