I’ve never watched Good Morning America but I’ve seen the story of the most inspirational American soldiers of all time: The Tuskegee Airmen. They are true American heroes.

A wonderful man named Dr. Wendell Lipscome was an influence to me as I grew up in Berkeley, Calif. in the 1950s. He was a Tuskegee airman , a doctor and also taught a UC Berkeley. I sometimes did some babysitting for him and his wife Amarylis. It is a fond memory of a very nice man in my hometown .

The Tuskegee Airmen were the finest combat pilots and the biggest badasses in the air in the Second World War. Such a tragedy that the US insisted on treating them as second-class citizens.
