That being said, there didn’t seem to be any actual current rancor between Barbados (or Rhianna) and the Queen. It’s funny to me on one level because I love saucy, edgy provocative works that callback to our own nation’s revolutionary war against the Crown, but I have mixed feelings, because Queen Elizabeth II has never seemed a terrible person to me. The English colonial governments of yesteryear, during slavery trade, definitely deserve such rancor, though.
