There’s a lot of jihad in Dune, I wonder if Dennis will change any of the Arabic terminology, for a modern audience

Dune was absolutely marvelous! Villeneuve and Nolan are the mldern day masters of cinema! I really liked Ferguson at the start of the film but she became a bit of a side character near the end. But it makes sense in the movie, so I understand that. Still a great performance from a terrific actress!!

Dune: The only movie i can say about “Better than the book it’s based on but i would’ve never understood if I hadn’t read the book.”

People love Dune because dialogs, cast and scenes in Lynch’s version of a movie were so powerful and memorable.

Wow! She almost finished answering the first question. Thank god we got the actual answer in the video title, or we’d never have known. Do you think you could have tacked on a little more of the rest of the interview to this tiny clip?

I missed school one day in high school because I was feeling sick, I went back to bed for hours, and when I woke up, I turned the tv on and a movie was just starting… with a whole speech about a precious intergalactic spice… and the title appeared in full screen ” D U N E.” I was like wtf kinda movie is that?! It got weird fast but I loved it. I’ve rewatched it once since, and thought this baby was past due for a serious remake… and a few month later, this remake was announced! Can’t wait til I get a chance to see it!

How can Stephen–an avowed fan of Herbert’s ‘Dune’–claim this to be a “perfect adaptation of the book”, when it only covers *the first half of the first book*?
