    All jokes and memes aside, if America was my country, I would be so ashamed that I would not even want to tell people where I’m from if they ask.

    Sounds like ‘I do not know’ dude should have to spend a year or ten in gen pop at his own prison to better inform his understanding of what it means to be a responsible steward of human life

    Also important fact that 95% humidity and high temperatures are making it almost impossible to sleep, and denying sleeping is one of the worst in the international anti-torture list.
    Well, just remembered that US didn’t sign most of those human rights agreements, so it is useless for prisoners to file a case to international human rights court…

    Hmm, this all comes as no surprise.
    Here’s something else that is not going to surprise me;
    Nobody gives a shit and is going to do anything about it.

    I watch this show every week and usually enjoy it. Consider the significant effect of air conditioning on climate change and this episode makes no sense. More people will suffer in the end. More generally, the anthropocentric views of this show add to the paradigms that are wrecking our world.

    The american prison system seems to be more focused on punishment than rehabilitation in general. So this sadly doesn’t surprise me much.
