President George W. Bush Plays “Bushism or Not?”

Former President George W. Bush has been known to make the occasional verbal gaffe. He’s actually made so many, there’s even a name for them – “Bushisms.” We wondered if he could remember them so to test his recollection of the many funny things he has said, we play a game called “Bushism or Not?”

Everybody in the comments section seems to have forgotten that Saddam was using chemical weapons on innocent people. When I think about Trump, I honestly miss bush. At least he was closer to center.

Not sure why we’re trying to rehabilitate Bush. He’s not as bad as Trump, but there was still that whole make believe weapon war, Katrina disaster, etc. He doesn’t seem purposely malicious and deceitful like Trump, but his ignorance caused a lot of pain for a lot of people.

One night some 12 years ago, at 4 am while the rest of the family slept, I did something I had never done before and have never done since until today. While scrolling through Bushisms I laughed so hard that I cried. Today I relive that experience, tears streaming down my face and coffee sprayed all over my desk from thinking I could sip at my coffee and keep it from escaping my mouth while listening to the non-commander in chief of the English language.
I may be a simpleton but in my book, anyone who can laugh at himself is someone redeemable on some level.

Jimmy, I like you a lot but George W. Bush is a war criminal and shouldn’t be treated with anything other than what war criminals should get from decent people; distain and shunning. I know he’s been making the appearance rounds as some kind of voice of “normal” Republicanism but his history is dark and set the stage for the descent into Trumpism. Hopefully you’ll end with him and not consider the other three horsemen of the Bush Apocalypse; Cheney, Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld.

No politicians today are able to laugh at themselves. He seems to have matured and grown out of politics, and that’s good to see. Now that we had Trump, Bush looks like the sanest president ever. I still think he made massive mistakes, but I think even he regrets the war now. Its interesting how time can change your perspective on someone.
