James welcomes former President Bill Clinton to Stage 56 to discuss assault weapon legislation and the difficulties to reach an agreement on this issue. Because he grew up in a culture of firearms, Clinton offers advice on communication between people who disagree about gun rights. Clinton then expands on what’s next in the fight to pass laws that will protect people and children from gun violence. And on a note of positivity, Clinton says focusing on children’s futures is the best way to stay optimistic.

Can anyone give me a short answer of why it is so hard for America to come to an agreement about the gun control? What did he mean by a voting issue?

I want to know why assault weapons were introduced to anyone to begin with. What is the purpose for anyone to own one? I can see people who own rifles for hunting & smaller guns for some people who feel threaten or are threatened to own one.

Just imagine, for one second, the responses Corden would get if he asked the same questions to Tr*mp!

America should have a referendum on a assault weapons ban. Put the decision to the people as government is controlled by gun lobby’s and super pacs

Listening to Clinton, we can truly see how things have changed so much in the last 30 years. We just need to talk to them? Many others like Biden and the older generation still believes that sitting down and having an mature adult conversation will solve everything like it did 30+ years ago.. today, it will not.

Some good ideas on the gun issue.
Too bad his womanizing hurt his victims, his family, and the country. Wish he would have got Bin Laden when he had the chance.

AND CLINTON LIES AS SOON AS HE OPENS HIS MOUTH. THERE’S NEVER BEEN AN OVERWHELMING MAJORITY FOR ANY TYPE OF LEGISLATION AGAINST FIREARMS. IT’S LAUGHABLE THAT JAMES CORDON WOULD CONSIDER INTERVIEWING A POLITICAL CRIMINAL ABOUT THE 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS OF CITIZENS.
