It was Alec’s job Bill. He’s the runner, the producer, and the one holding the gun. The gun didn’t just go off, they can prove that. They can prove the steps that day to ensure everyone’s safety were not met that day. People quite the set for similar reasons. The set was notorious for failure to meet safety standards, and someone DIED because of it. WTF are we talking about? We’re talking about holding everyone accountable, including presidents and celebrities.
It’s a tragedy, yes. But lets not mince words here. He killed her. Intentionally or not. Someone died because of his, and others negligence. And someone has to pay the price in return for the price of her life. Enough with letting people with money get off with crimes, or criminal negligence. Enough.
I pulled the hammer back on a 6 shooting as a kid and it went off when it slipped but there 2 clicks to a 6 shooter.
The 6 shooter had 6 bullets in it.
1st click rotates the chambers and the 2nd click locks the hammer for the trigger to release.
I had only pulled back the hammer less then 1 quarter inch before it would hit first click but that 1 quarter inch fired the gun!
Every time you pick up or are handed a gun, you check it. Not up for negotiation, not 1% of the time not 99% of the time 100 percent of time every time, the chain of custody failed and every person who had hands on the gun is responsible.
“Unless you think Alec Baldwin PURPOSEFULLY show this cinematographer, what the fuck are we talking about?”
The crime he’s being charged with is INVOLUNTARY manslaughter, that should give you a clue what the fuck they’re talking about. You can agree or disagree that he deserves to be charged, but don’t say that he’s not guilty of manslaughter because he didn’t commit murder.
Yes, Alec needs to face charges. He was the show PRODUCER as well, in charge of the personnel that check and maintain the firearms on-set. There was a HUGE problem with safety, he didn’t address it, and added to the problem by not following THE SIMPLEST of safety rules. ALWAYS treat a gun as loaded until you check it YOIRSELF.
He cocked the hammer for the scene, and the gun went off. They’re saying he pulled the trigger BUT when the FBI tested the gun, the sixth time they cocked the hammer, the gun went off without the trigger being pulled.

ReplyNote to Maher on Alec Baldwin case: A lady died. And you want that fact to be dismissed because people need to be “reasonable”? yikes.
