Everyone is bitching about Atheists for the down thumbs without looking at
the actual comments. Atheists have no issue, the people down-voting are
most likely the crazy ones commenting that Oprah is evil and other
religious nuts who assumed they where making light of the Bible. Just
fucking look before you call the witch hunt people. Ultra religious people
are the most offended by this video.

Not surprising that Oprah’s favourite Bible verse is one that provides
justification (she imagines) for self-gratification and crass materialism.
This is what makes religion such pernicious nonsense: its “holy books” can
be read by anyone and then taken to mean whatever they want as it suits
their self-serving convenience, all with the imprimatur of supposedly
    divine righteousness.

Did some research and here’s the deal with the dislikes: Oprah is known to
be extremely arrogant about Atheist and claims they must believe in
something in order to be complete people, she claims Atheists are all liars
and really do have faith and that “awe” and “wonder” can only be
experienced by the faithful. That’s some ugly arrogance.

Then you have those on the other side of the spectrum, the really religious
that see Oprah as some sort of golden calf. Oprah has built herself up to a
god like status she uses that sway to sell people products and in turn
horde the extreme wealth generated. “But she gives so much to charity”
yeah, her giving thousands is like you or me giving pennies. She is pretty
much a self aggrandizing cult leader and her cult is dedicated to buying
    shit.

There you have it, Oprah is like Hillary, they work so hard on this always
positive persona and have generated a cult like following (Oprah went full
cult) but a quick google search reveals a lot of ugliness. I’m going to
thumb down Oprah. Why? Because she insults me personally by claiming she
knows what I “believe” better than I do, I want stand for such arrogance.
If you look into her you will find a reason the thumb down too.

For me the better question is: “Which is the worst, least God-like verse in
    the Bible.”
There is loads of sound advice in most religious texts, but many verse are
so horrible and hateful, or just factually wrong, that they actually prove
the text was written without the help or approval from any higher power.

This is New Age movement propaganda. This New Age agenda is poisonous to
all, religious and non religious people. The main characters playing this
agenda are the UN and the Lucis Trust. The end goal is of course is the one
world government and the one world religion to worship their Christ,
Lucifer. No one here needs to believe me, go to the Lucis Trust site and it
is all there in plain sight. Your freedom of or from religion is in
jeopardy. Comments by people like Robert Mueller make this agenda also very
clear, don’t fall for this deception if you value freedom.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not
    slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time

Wouldn’t surprise me that Oprah doesn’t know that the original OT had been
written in Hebrew and the word ‘delight’ is an English approximation by
translators to the word used in the original. Could easily been indulge, or

“You know, I go to church and I am some what religious. When I try to
explain it to some people who aren’t, (that I have a belief) I say, “Well,
I was given this by my ancestors.” I look at my children and I say, “I love
them I wouldn’t want to give them anything I didn’t think would help them.”
So I assume I was given this by my ancestors because they were trying to
help me, and I open it like a box and I wonder whats inside. But, I don’t
think I’ve gotten to the bottom at any point. I just keep taking it out. I
look at it as a gift. But, I accept that it’s not the only gift you can
    get.”

Oprah’s interpretation of that Bible verse was very much exaggerated to
incorporate her own beliefs. There is no indication that “The Lord” as it
was written in that psalm was meant to mean anything other than the deity
of the writer. To instill it with any other meaning of goodness or
whatever, that is just projecting your own ideas onto a verse written by
someone else. The same way Oprah can project her own ideas of “goodness”
onto this verse, someone else can project their negative ideas onto it as
    well.
