    Its all in the delivery. That joke would only have worked if Seth played up the “accent” at the end to let us know it was a pun. Otherwise, it just sounded like a poorly pronounced city

    Iowan here. The third item is a farce. We don’t have accents like that. What even was that? Was it supposed to be an old Chicago accent?

    bahaha. that actually is a good joke now that im more educated on the matter. this segment on the sound of it sounds like a difficult segment but it works. thats my 2 cents from the youtube comments section.

    My aunt is from Des Moines, and I think she’d be very disappointed in the blatant pronuciation abuse in this clip.

    EDIT: I bet Amber would have gotten it right. She should have had a very special mini-segment called, “Amber says, ‘Io-what?'”

    EDIT 2: Just can’t get over how much my poor aunt is going to hate this. She’ll probably move to Ankeny a broken woman.
